PURPOSE:To provide the planographic printing plate which is improved in the coatability of a physical development nucleus layer and is improved in the preservable stability of printing performance by incorporating a specific compd. into the physical development nucleus layer or/and its adjacent layer. CONSTITUTION:The high-polymer compd. expressed by the formula, etc., is incorporated into the physical development nucleus layer or/and its adjacent layer. The polymer of the formula is obtd. by producing the polymer of the formula from the refined tamarind seed polysaccharides of about 650000 average mol. wt. distributed with about 200000 to about 900000 mol. wt. by separating and refining stages for removing fat and oil components and protein existing in the tamarind seeds. The polymer of the formula is usable in combination with the water-soluble polymers used for the physical development nucleus layer, for example, carboxyl methyl cellullose, gum arabic, sodium alginate, a copolymer of vinyl imidazole and acrylamdie, etc. The polymer of the formula is further improved in the water retaining property by combination use with an N-methylol compd. in the same manner as for plurane. |
