PURPOSE: To reduce the dispersion of a dark background in a signal sampling rate over a wide range and to obtain effective white balance of image color components. CONSTITUTION: An electronic image forming system uses a CCD image-forming unit 12 and more than one unique analog signal processors(ASP) 14A to 14C. Each ASP 14A to 14C receives a color component image signal from the unit 12 and supplies each output image signal of red, green and blue color components, which have appropriate white balance that is suitable for compositing a full color image. The dark background of an output image signal, i.e., a zero level is normalized to a common 'dark' reference voltage and minimizes the fluctuating part of dark background of a composited color image, regardless of the ASP or the gain setting of plural ASPs. The ASPs substantially have more than 8-bit dynamic range extending over a signal sampling rate over a wide extent.
