PURPOSE:To provide an electrophotographic printer which is excellent in the transfer property of a multicolor toner image from a photosensitive drum to an intermediate transfer drum, provided with a cleaning means by which the life of the photosensitive drum is not spoiled, and where toner is easily exchanged, and an electrophotographic printing method. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic printer 1 is provided with the photosensitve drum 11, an exposure means successively forming plural electrostatic latent images according to color-separated printin8 information on the photosensitive drum, a developing means 20 obtaining the toner image by successively developing the electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive drum with the toner having a hue corresponding to the color-separated printing information, an intermediate transfer medium 31 which is allowed to come into press-contact with the photosensitive drum, and to which the toner image on the photosensitive drum is successively transferred, so that the multicolor toner image is formed, a carrying means 70 carrying in and out a recording medium P to which the multicolor toner image formed on the intermediate transfer medium is transferred to the intermediate transfer medium, and a thermal fixing means 50 which is allowed to a come into press-contact with the intermediate transfer medium through the recording medium. |
