PURPOSE:To obtain a connector device which can be simply, and safely handled and properly maintained, when connecting batteries in an electric vehicle and the like. CONSTITUTION:This connecting device consists of a single-pole connector A made by inserting the terminal metal fitting 1 of the terminal of a shield wire 5 connected to a battery post, and a connector case B to house two single pole connectors. An insulating housing 9 has a contact shoe inserting hole 12 to the electric contact 2 of the terminal metal fitting 1 of the insulating housing 9, while the connector case B has a lid body 25 allowable to open and close with a case main body 17. When the lid body 25 is closed, contact shoes 27a and 27a of a short-circuit terminal pass through the contact shoe inserting hole 12, and connect with the electric contacts 2 of the terminal metal fittings 1 respectively.
