PURPOSE:To correct even an error factor which is not caused at an adjusting time and to execute an accurate focus detecting action when the device is used under a different condition from the adjusting time. CONSTITUTION:By a sensor 1, a pair of object images formed by luminous flux passed through the different pupils of a photographing lens 5 is received and photoelectrically converted. By a CPU 2, a noise component included in the output of a photoelectrically converted signal is corrected and the relative shift quantity of a pair of object images is calculated. Besides, the minimum shift quantity among the obtained result is calculated and a correction value is changed based on a prescribed condition. Then, a focusing state is detected by obtaining the relative positional relation between a pair of object images in such a way. |
