PURPOSE:To prevent such inconvenience that photographing preparing operation is made to progress based on line of sight information from being executed though the line of sight exists out of a set photographic picture. CONSTITUTION:In a control means 1 starting a photographing preparing action based on the outputs of line of sight detection means 1, 4 and 5, an area varying means 1 making an area where the line of sight regarded as effective exists different according to picture size set by a picture size set means 9 is provided. When the panoramic picture size for executing photographing by using one part of the normal photographic picture is set according to the set photographic picture size, for example, the area where the line of sight regarded as effective exists is restricted to be narrower than the area at the setting time of the normal photographic picture size. |
