PURPOSE:To enable the approach of a vehicle from a general road (toll road) to a toll road (general road) with a guide by providing a display means for displaying the present position and an entrance/exit. CONSTITUTION:In the case of performing the route guide to a destination, a driver commands a desired destination on a faceplate of a display unit, or inputs 19 the place name. A route from the real position ascertained by a real position measuring unit 12 to the input destination is computed 22, and this route is stored 24. A route guide control unit 26 reads out the map information around of a vehicle from a map information storage unit 10, and displays 28 it so that the real position and the traveling direction of the vehicle are overlapped with the stored 24 route. A driver can confirm the position of own vehicle on the basis of the displayed information, and obtains the information on the route. Route guide is thereby performed by the display 28, but furthermore, in the case where a vehicle approaches from a general road (toll road) to a toll road (general road), a specific display processing is performed to secure the route guide for the driver. |
