This vacuum cleaner has, in a housing (1), a dust chamber (2) and a suction chamber (3) which has an air inlet opening (4), in communication with the dust chamber, and a carrier (6) for receiving a motor-fan unit (8) with at least one fan (10) with an associated hood (11), the unit being held axially between the air inlet opening (4) and a seat (13) held by the carrier (6). According to the invention, the seat (13) carries a compensating device which is intended for inserting between the seat (13) and the unit (8) and the axial thickness of which depends on the axial dimensions of the hood (11) and thus on the number of fans contained in the hood. <IMAGE> |
