PURPOSE:To continuously produce a silk fishing line coated with a resin, not readily swelling.softening even by immersion in water during use, decomposable with a microorganism when allowed to stand in water for a long period of time, not polluting water with the decomposition product. CONSTITUTION:A device for producing a silk fishing line coated with resin is equipped with a traveling means for running silk raw yarn 24 of multifilament along a thread handling area from supply of yarn to winding, a means for resin impregnating.attaching and drawing means obtained by installing a drawing device in a liquid resin tank, an excessive resin removing means for removing an excessive liquid resin on the silk raw yarn laid at the downstream side of the resin impregnating.attaching and drawing means of the thread handling area, a curing means for setting the liquid resin permeated and attached to the silk raw yarn, abrading means 57 and 58 for arranging the monofilament- shaped silk raw yarn coated with the resin by the curing treatment into uniform thickness and smoothing the surface of the yarn and a winding means for continuously winding the resin-coated silk fishing line 59.
