PURPOSE:To find an update vehicle position at a low installation cost by providing a GPS receiver, a border jumping detecting device, a transmitter and a display device. CONSTITUTION:A data processing part 4 compares the vehicle current position with a predetermined border and generates a border jumping signal when the vehicle crosses the border. The border is a border for dividing a service area of a taxi into some blocks. When the vehicle moves to an adjacent block, a border jumping signal is generated. When the processing part 4 generates a border jumping signal, a wireless device 5 transmits current position data together with vehicle identification data from an antenna 6. The transmitted radio wave from the vehicle 1 is received 13 through an antenna 12 of a base station 11, the position data and the vehicle identification data are detected 11 and the detected current position is displayed with a vehicle number on a display part 15. As transmission is conducted when the vehicle jumps a border, congestion of transmission is not so much and the current position of the vehicle can be recognized in a short time. Furthermore, as it is not necessary to provide many sign posts, the installation cost is low. |
