PURPOSE:To attain the security protection of facsimile equipment connected to a network. CONSTITUTION:When access from a client side personal computer 11A to the facsimile equipment 13 is performed in a network system 1, a user ID is inputted from the keyboard of the client side personal computer 11A first. The user ID is fetched in a network OS program 22A, and it is sent from the program 22A to the network OS program 22B of a server side personal computer 11B. Thence, the user ID is sent from the network OS program 22B to a facsimile control program 21B for server, and furthermore, it is sent from the program 21B to the facsimile equipment 13. The facsimile equipment 13 judges whether or not the user ID is registered, and the access can be performed in a prescribed range when it is registered. The access to the facsimile equipment 13 can be permitted only when the user IDs coincide with each other in the network system 1, which enables the security protection to be attained.
