PURPOSE:To cope with many records, to reduce the number of string in an input phase and to shorten sort processing time by storing a pointer showing the address in the input buffer of a sort symmetric record in the area storing the result by a tournament sorting system. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with a tournament table 5 storing the comparison result information showing the combination information by a tournament source system and the opposite party information at the time of a defeat and an address pointer showing the storage address of an input buffer 3 of a sort object record. The sort object record from the outside is inputted in an input buffer 3 by a buffer input means 2, a sorting is performed by a tournament system by referring to the input buffer 3 and the tournament table 5 by a string preparing means 6, winner records are outputted in order and a record string is prepared. Thus, many records can be coped with by storing the pointers in place of actual records. |
