ELECTROSTATICALLY-COPIED IMAGE FORMATION STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: To provide an electrostatic copied image forming member having the high-quality image forming performance of a belt type receptor and the good durability of a drum type receptor in combination. CONSTITUTION: The electronic photographic image forming structural body 1 composed of a rotary drum 2 and a receptor member 3 and a retainer and holding mechanism 11 are disclosed. The photosensitive member 3 is in the form of a seam belt or sheet. The photosensitive member 3 has two ends 13. The rotary drum 2 is in a shell form of a substantially cylindrical shape. The shell has a slit 12 and a hinge 14 to enable the expansion of the shell. The photosensitive member 3 is inserted into the slit and is clamped in the drum by means of screws or springs. The photosensitive member 3 is held by mechanically clamping the ends 13 in the slit of the drum 2. The slit 12 and the hinge 14 act cooperatively to form the retainer 11.
