PURPOSE:To detect a variable load which is not much varied during driving of a vehicle by providing the number of driving vehicles deciding unit for calculating the variable load of a one train composition and deciding the number of driving vehicles of a motor controller by referring to the number of driving vehicles pattern generator in response to a magnitude of a composition variable load, and varying the number of the controllers. CONSTITUTION:A variable load detector 3 detects a variable load to be applied to each vehicle. A number of driving vehicles deciding unit 5 sums the variable loads to calculate a variable load per one composition (composition variable load), decides the number of driving vehicles of a motor controller 1 necessary for the composition variable load by referring to the number of driving vehicles pattern generated from the number of driving vehicles pattern generator 4, and outputs a drive or stop command to the controller. Since the number of the controllers to be driven can be reduced according to the magnitude of a composition load (the number of passengers), an increase in a low noise vehicle and power conservation can be expected. Further, switching frequency of driving.stopping of the controller is reduced, and smooth traveling can be obtained. |
