The invention relates to a combined water and foam diffuser for protection against fire, which is reliable and of simple design, and is intended to be connected to a supply network of water or pressurised extinguishing premix. The diffuser comprises a body (1) containing a turbine (4), its wall being provided with air inlet holes (14), a premix inlet injector (2) provided with a nozzle (22) which is open facing the turbine on one side of the axis of the latter and, opposite, a diffuser head (3) defining an emulsion chamber (36) having a constriction (31) comprising an outlet orifice (37) for the foam produced in the diffuser, the head (3) being fitted with a diffuser grill (34) comprising peripheral apertures (341). Such diffusers can be arranged on sprinkler rings of tanks for storing inflammable liquids. <IMAGE>
