The invention relates to a device for studying and/or influencing the anchorage of implants in living biological tissue, especially hard tissue, as a response to locally supplied substances. The device consists of a anchoring element (1) for fastening in the tissue and has a central recess (3) in the form of a depot for supplying a substance whose effect on the anchorage of the implant in the tissue is to be studied or utilized. The surface of the anchoring element (1) adjacent to the tissue consists wholly or in part of a permeable material, "filter", which allows added substances to diffuse out directly onto the implant surface, or into the biological fluid around the implant surface, from the central recess (3). The anchoring element resembles clinically employed implants, or implants which are employed within research and development, as regards material and/or surface properties and placing, and also as regards site and surgical technique. <IMAGE> |
