PURPOSE:To provide a polystyrenic film having a membrane composed of a metal or metal oxide on the surface thereof, excellent in heat stability, good in running properties at the time of the running for the taking-up of a long film and generating no cut powder of the film on the surface of the membrane because of sufficient abrasion resistance. CONSTITUTION:A polystyrenic film consists of a base film composed of a resin compsn. containing a polystyrenic polymer having a syndiotactic structure and the membrane layer composed of a metal and/or metal oxide provided on at least one surface of the base film. The base film is characterized by that a heat shrinkage factor at 150 deg.C is 3% or less and the three-dimensional surface roughness SRa of the membrane is 0.01-0.1mum and the number of-projection value PCC per the unit area of a roughness center surface satisfies the relation of PCC >=20000XSRa. |
