PURPOSE:To provide a electronic bulletin board from which unread articles can be extracted in real time with a small load by providing with a new article registration part which registers a new article sent from outside, in an article storage part and informs it to an unread article informing part. CONSTITUTION:When a user sends the new article from a bulletin board article transmission part 101 to the new article registration part 105, the new article registration part 105 registers the article in an article storage part 106 and informs the unread article informing part 107 of the arrival of the new article. The unread article informing part 107 which is informed informs the arrival of the new article at the bulletin board to the unread article display part 102. Consequently, this new article is added as an unread article to unread article information held at an unread article display part 102, whose display is altered according to the new article. Therefore, the user of a client machine 10 can know the arrival of the new article just by looking at the unread article display part 102.
