The invention relates to a method for selective detection and acquisition of magnetic and dielectric susceptibility profiles, preferably for rapid analysis of both optically transparent and non-transparent liquid and gaseous examination or test objects. In this case, the method according to the invention is based on wide-band spectral imaging of the object parameters by the electromagnetic sample reaction of a gyrotropically and radiation-coupled one-port or two-port wave system within the micrometre and millimetre wave spectrum.
