Female electrical contact having, at one end, means 2 for connecting it to an electrical conductor and, at its other end, a socket 3 intended to receive the pin 10 of an associated male contact axially. The socket 3 is fitted with an internal sleeve 4 formed by compacting a conducting wire and including an axial cavity 5 capable of receiving the engaging pin 10 in radial elastic compression. The electrical contact thus produced has a very large number of contact points, has a large geometrical tolerance and is easy to employ. <IMAGE>
