A wireless hearing aid consists of a hearing aid and a control. The hearing aid comprises a microphone, a loudspeaker unit, a circuit for changing the volume set, a control circuit and a signal receiving unit. The microphone picks up ambient sound waves. The circuit for changing the volume set sets the frequency characteristic and the level of the output signals of the microphone. The loudspeaker unit receives the output signals of the circuit for changing the volume set and converts the output signals of the unit for changing the volume set into corresponding sound. The control circuit controls the circuit for changing the volume set on the basis of the output signals of the signal receiving unit. The control comprises an operating device and a transmitter unit. The operating device has a plurality of actuating devices. The transmitter unit transmits the control signals which correspond to the input signals which are fed to said transmitter unit by actuating the actuating unit. The control is provided with a display unit which displays set values such as the volume of the circuit for changing the volume set and the frequency characteristic of the output signals of the microphone. <IMAGE>
