PURPOSE:To achieve drive with a smaller angle than a full step using a stepping motor with a plurality of coils where one edge is connected to one of a plurality of switching elements and the other edge is connected mutually. CONSTITUTION:After three coils are excited at a first part where a current waveform is the same value as the average value of a rated current, two coils are excited where the current waveform is at the first part and one coil and is excited at a second part where the current waveform is half the value of the average value of the rated current value and then switching transistors 40, 42, 44, 46, and 48 are turned on and off so that two coils are excited at the first part of current waveform, thus enabling current to flow to corresponding coils 20, 22, 24, 26, and 28 in this pattern, generating torque changing for each step between a rotor and a stator, and performing half-step drive of a stepping motor 10 where one-step angle is 0 and 36 degrees each. |
