A pressurised cooling system for a liquid-cooled internal combustion engine has a float opening valve (20) parallel to an expansion tank (9) specifically to permit a temporary air leakage. The float opening valve (20) is connected to at least one leakage collecting vessel (6) arranged at a low point of the cooling system.
