PURPOSE:To provide a protection cover for a battery post connection terminal, which is not easily broken by external force and does not hinder working at the time of opening the cover so as to enhance reliability and workability of the protection cover. CONSTITUTION:A protection cover 1 consists of an enclosing part 4 enclosing an electric wire connection part of a connection terminal 8; an openable/closable covering part 5 formed integrally with the enclosing part 4 via a hinge 6 and covering an electric contact part of the connection terminal 8; and a base bottom part 14 provided with a penetration hole for penetration of a battery post 3 and placed on an upper surface of a battery 2. On the tops of side walls erected from both side ends of the base bottom part 14, cover locking parts 7 for temporarily locking side lower ends of the opened covering part 5 are formed. A rear end angle part of the covering part 5 in the vicinity of the hinge part 6 abuts on an inclined face, being an abutting part, formed in a forward end angle part of the enclosing part 4 opposing to the rear end angle part so as to regulate an opening angle.
