The thermal power machine drives a cylinder which is filled with EVF and in which a perforated piston is located whose piston rods are connected to the hydraulic system of the valve. The valve opening/valve closing time can be controlled by connecting/disconnecting an electric voltage (leading to the EVF solidifying/liquidifying). b.) The valve is driven, for example, by means of an electric motor or by the thermal power machine via a coupling (clutch) which can be disengaged, is filled with EVF and has a brake which results in the EVF, as a force transmitter, accelerating or braking the output-drive shaft depending on the applied voltage. Said output-drive shaft is connected to the motion converter which converts the rotation into a linear upwards/downwards movement and drives the abovementioned valve. These methods are suitable for all piston thermal power machines.
