摘要 In an overrun cut-off device in a motor vehicle internal combustion engine in which, on resumption of combustion following an overrun cut-off phase, the ignition timing is advanced from initial "retard" to the required firing point, from the start of the overrun cut-off the quantities of fresh air passing into the exhaust system per power stroke are added up or integrated in order to determine the total quantity of fresh air. The advancing of the ignition timing from initial "retard" to the required firing point proposed on resumption of combustion then occurs at a rate dependent on the total quantity of fresh air in the exhaust system.
