Linear peptidos of the formula I X-A-Cys(R1)-B-Z I, in which A, B, R1, X and Z are as defined in Claim 1, are highly active inhibitors of the binding of the blood platelet integrin GP IIbIIIa (aIIb.beta.3) to natural ligands and are suitable, inter alia, for the prophylaxis and for the treatment of circulatory disorders, thrombosis, myocardial infarction, coronary heart disease, arteriosclerosis, atherosclerosis, tumours and osteolytic diseases, and have a supporting effect in wound healing processes.
