Spectacles comprising lenses fixed to a frame consisting of a bar connected to two sides, with the aid of a fixing device intended to be placed in notches made directly in the spectacle lenses, characterized in that the fixing device comprises a first element associated with the bar of the frame and a separate second element engaging in the notches of the spectacle lenses. In the variant of Figure 1, the first element is formed by tabs (lugs) (6) on the bar (2), these tabs being drilled with holes (7) in alignment with the notches (5) on the lenses (4), and the second element is formed by rods (8) of the same cross-section as the holes and provided with limit stops (8a), the rods being, when mounted, slipped into the aligned holes and notches and then folded over in front of the lenses. <IMAGE>
