PURPOSE:To transmit a commercial AC voltage, a DC voltage and information signals between an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. CONSTITUTION:A commercial AC voltage from a commercial power source 9 received by an indoor unit 13 is sent to a DC power source 12 of an outdoor unit 14 through a connecting line 18 to generate a DC voltage. This DC voltage is sent to the unit 13 through a connecting line 19, and used as a power source voltage of an electric component such as an indoor controller 10, an indoor blower 7, etc., in th unit 13. An information signal output from an indoor controller 10 is modulated by a modem 17-a, superposed on the DC voltage at the line 19, and transmitted to the unit 14 through the line 19. The signal is demodulated by a modem 17-b in the unit 14, and supplied to an outdoor controller 11. The signal output from the circuit 11 is similarly transmitted to the controller 10.
