In a process for thermally and catalytically upgrading a recycled slurry oil, the slurry oil with entrained FCC catalyst and fines is added to a blast zone in the base of an FCC riser. Hot regenerated FCC catalyst added to the riser induces thermal and catalytic cracking of the slurry oil. Fresh feed, preferably a gas oil or resid, is added to the riser as quench downstream of the blast zone. |
