A valve (11) for containers (1) that may be evacuated has an elastically deformable, ring-shaped valve body (15) held in a housing (12) provided with through holes (13) and capable of being actuated by a setting member (18). In its initial position, the valve body (15) has a V-shaped cross-section, so that the axis of its inner part (21) is parallel to the setting member (18) and its outwardly projecting part (22) protrudes at an acute angle from the end of the inner part (21) that faces the setting member (18). Through this design, it is possible to recognise immediately whether a sufficient negative pressure still prevails in the container (1) or not. When the negative pressure is insufficient, the actuating member (18) protrudes over its housing (12). |
