The reproducing circuit comprises: an amplifier (95) for amplifying the pick-up image signal from the head (75); means for low-band filtering the amplified image signal; means for extracting the luminance signal by filtering the low-band filtered image signal; and means for mixing the demodulated luminance signal and the low band converted or frequency- demodulated colour signal.
