Steam or hot water boiler with one or more vertical radiation flues

In addition to the vertical radiation flues (1,2) the boiler incorporates a horizontal contact flue assembly (3). The bottom ends of all vertical flues are on the same horizontal plane. The water supply to all evaporation tubes of the contact flue flows in a direction opposite to the flue gases. Pref. the water-side connection of the common longitudinal distribution of the radiation and contact positions is interrupted by a separating drive in the distributors (5) at the transition from radiation to contact portion. The distributor at each side of the contact flue, for the evaporation tube supply, is supplied with water by an extra coupling tube.
