The remote control device for an electronic entertainment apparatus, such as a TV or video recorder, has a housing (2) with several operational elements (4) to control functions of the apparatus. One of the operational elements is in the form of a track ball (7). The track ball (7) is mounted in the housing (2) such that it can be operated from both sides of the housing (2). Preferably, the track ball (7) is arranged in the housing (2) such that it extends beyond the opposite surfaces of the housing (2).
