PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of breakage as a result of an air bag body being brought into contact with the corner part of a retainer during expansion of the air bag body, to prevent the occurrence of contact with a fixing member, such as a rivet and a bolt for fixing the retainer, and to prevent the damage and breakage of an air bag body. CONSTITUTION:An air bag device comprises a containment container 12 in which a gas generator is securely contained; and an air bag body 17 arranged on the opening 15 side for injecting gas of the containment container 12. The end part on the gas injection nozzle 17a side of the air bag body 17 is fixed through a retainer 19 by means of a fixing member, such as a rivet and a bolt. At least lower part 19c extending along the longitudinal direction of the retainer 19 is formed in an arcuate curved surface.
