The device includes distribution of power (3) to a set of phase shifters (2) and antennae (1) which form a phased array. A monitor (21) measures the state (24) of the phase shifters to detect faulty phase shifters. The array is arranged so that each array phase shifter has a symmetrical phase shifter. In the case of a detected fault, the symmetrical phase shifter is positioned (23) with a 180 degrees phase shift offset from the faulty phase shifter. The technique allows phase array errors due to faulty phase shifters to be nulled.
