Infinitely adjustable shelf support

The bar (1) is rounded and is pressed onto the two parallel friction tracks (4,4.1) by flexible ties (3). The ends of the ties are secured to the respective ends of the support board and each tie is looped around the bar. Twisting of the bar adjusts its position along the support board. The friction strips and the flexible ties are coated with a friction coating. With a polygonal outer shape of the bar the adjustment can be in discrete steps. The flexible tie is non extendible e.g. steel cored and the attachment to the board is adjustable. The direction of the loops around the bar determines the main direction of support e.g. when used on a vertical board for shelf supports.
