PURPOSE: To provide a device for welding toner on the surface of paper containing the columnar group of heating and pressure rollers. CONSTITUTION: The group of rollers 140 and 130 is energized by using a driving spring 108, a solenoid and the other means. Then, contact which is uniformly distributed on paper passing between the heating rollers 120 and the pressure rollers 140 and 130 is given. A temperature, dwelling time, pressure and other performance parameters are changed by the dwelling nip of the groups of the heating rollers 120 and 110 and the pressure rollers 140 and 130 by selectively using the rollers of the respective groups. It is not necessary to change a route where a welding unit moves and paper passes for using welding performance combination to be changed. The probability of jamming and feed faults of paper can be reduced. The heating rollers 120 and 110 are engaged with paper and oil can be supplied by using welding unit oil applicators 178 and 188. |
