Chemical cpds. capable of undergoing spin transitions, in the form of a powder, including a lattice with a mol. formed from a complex in which Fe (Fe(II)) is associated with a 1.2.4-triazole (H-Trz) ligand of formula: the mol. also comprising an anion (A)2 chosen from BF4<->, ClO4<->, Br<-> and CO3<2->, this mol. having the formula (a) Fe(II) (H-Trz)3(BF4<->)2, (b) Fe(II)(H-Trz)3(ClO4<->)2, (c) Fe(II) (H-Trz)3(Br<->)2, (d) Fe(II) (H-Trz)3(Cl<->)2 or (e) Fe(II) (H-Trz)3(ClO3<2->) depending on the anion.
