Seat belt circuit for car, buses and lorries

An electric circuit is combined with the safety belts for the seats so that when the buckle is, or buckles are, snapped into the retainer(s), the circuit switches from one state to another. The circuit has a control device which blocks operation of the starter motor until the buckle(s) is/are engaged. A second circuit is connected with every passenger seat and tells, by means of seat pressure, if the seats are occupied. This is also connected to the ignition key blocking circuit. The driver's seat, however does not need this detection circuit. The second circuit uses mechanical contacts which open under sufficient seat pressure, but may instead have pressure sensors.
