Drilling tool with improved cutting face

The drilling tool has at least one cutting edge (14) running from radially inwards to radially outwards on the drill face side. Evolving from the cutting edge and extending from the drill face side backwards is a swarf groove (12). The cutting edge when viewed in the face of the tool runs convexly. The cutting edge runs from a drill point (13) backwards inclined to the longitudinal axis of the drill tool. The swarf groove is straightly or spirally formed and the tool is also formed spirally. The convex curvature of the cutting edge is a continuous curve.
