The frame corner consists of a corner piece (1) with at least two connecting flanges (4,5) in a common plane and each with a frame beam (2,3) fitted to each flange. The corner piece and the frame beams can be fitted together in the longitudinal direction of the beam. The connecting flange is usually fitted into the end of the frame beam. A transverse locking connection consisting of at least one locking member (8) and one recess (9) secures the joint against unintentional separation. The corner piece may consist of two identical halves (16,17).
