PURPOSE:To obtain a detergent composition for hard surface which functions to swell or dissolve a tenaciously adherent dirt, e.g. a fat or oil dirt, has excellent detergency, causes little chapping, and is safe by mixing a surfactant with a specific alcohol solvent, another specific alcohol solvent, and an alkali. CONSTITUTION:This composition comprises 0.1-30wt.% surfactant (a), 0.1-30wt.% alcohol solvent (b) represented by the formula (wherein A is a 2-4C alkylene and n is an integer of 1-5), 0.1-30wt.% alcohol solvent (c) represented by the formula R-O=(BO)m-H (wherein R is a 1-10C alkyl or alkenyl, B is a 2-4C alkylene; and m is an integer of 0-10), and 0.1-20wt.% alkali (d), the sum of (b) and (c) being not more than 40wt.% of the composition and the (b)/(c) ratio being 1/100 to 100/1 by weight. |
