The drive device includes a carriage which supports the electric motor (4) with a toothed drive wheel (10) and ultimately a radio receiver (11). Contacts (12) or connectors to a charging station (13) supply the accumulators (8). The rail is made in several parts of metal or plastic and has, along its length, a fixed chain or fixed rack. At the ends of the rail there are adjustable abutments (14,15), preferably mounted within the rail. The fixed part of the charging station is positioned at the abutment corresponding to closure of the door (1). It is powered by the mains through a charger or by a solar panel (18) through a regulator (17) and the charging current flows through plated contacts or an inductive or capacitative path at the charging station.
