In a method for preparing clonogenic fibroblasts, tissue is taken from the donor and the cells isolated from the tissue, the cell suspension so obtained is sieved, the cells contained in the cell suspension are grown and the cells are transferred to a tissue culture; alternatively, the cells are isolated by mechanical comminution followed by enzymatic treatment with collagenase alone. As a result of the transfection into the fibroblasts, at least one gene which codes for a biologically active protein, preferably a therapeutically active protein such as a growth factor, a hormone, an enzyme, a clotting factor or a clotting inhibitor, is inwardly transferred.
