PROCESS OF PREPARING LENSES

A process of preparing a lens (1) using a de-blocking step to remove the lens from a wax mount (7) is described. For the de-blocking step the wax is only partially dissolved so that the lens remains associated with the wax but can be easily removed therefrom. Preferably, for the de-blocking step, the wax is treated with a terpene under conditions of agitation.
