PURPOSE:To provide an illuminator having variable output which ban be reduced in size and weight. CONSTITUTION:The voltage of n AC commercial power supply is rectified through a full-wave rectifier 21 and applied to a booster circuit 23. When FETs Q1, Q4 are closed and FETs Q2, Q3 are opened, the parasitic capacitances CQ2, CQ3 of the FETs Q2, Q3 are charged by the full-wave rectifier 21. When a FET Q6 is closed and the FETs Q1-Q5 are opened, the parasitic capacitances CQ2, CQ3 of the FETs Q2, Q3 are connected in series and the voltage is boosted. When the FETs Q2, Q3 are closed and the FETs Q1, Q4 are opened, the parasitic capacitances of the FETs Q1, Q4 are charged by the full-wave rectifier 21. When the FET Q5 is closed and the FET Q1-Q4, Q6 are opened, the parasitic capacitances CQ1, CQ4 of the FETs Q1, Q4 are connected in series and the voltage is boosted. |
