PURPOSE:To polish a pipe interior hole inner surface by remote operation by providing a polishing material sliding on the pipe interior hole inner surface by centrifugal force and a means for erecting the polishing material concentrically with the pipe interior hole to insert it into the hole while rotating it. CONSTITUTION:In the case of polishing the interior of a nozzle stub hole (b) in a boiler header (a), first a polishing tool 6, in a state of being housed in a cylindrical tool main body case 2, is inserted to a polishing position through an inspection hole of the header (a). Then, the polishing tool 6 is subjected to precession of 90 degrees in the diametral direction of the header (a) to be erected by an air cylinder 3 equipped on a tip of the tool main body case 2 while being observed by a CCD camera 12, and turned in the peripheral direction by an oscillating mechanism to be position-adjusted so as to be concentric with the nozzle stub hole (b). After that, while a polishing material 6b is being rotated by an air motor 7, the polishing tool 6 is lowered by a drive motor 9, and the polishing material 6b is inserted into the nozzle stub hole (b) and slid by centrifugal force so as to conduct polishing of the interior of the nozzle stub hole 6b. |
