PURPOSE:To obtain a monoclonal antibody for specifically recognizing an antigen related to human pultaceous sclerogenous focus, useful for diagnosing and treating arteriosclerosis. CONSTITUTION:This monoclonal antibody specifically recognizes an antigen FOH1 occurring in a human pultaceous sclerogenous focus. The monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing a proper mammal and/or a mammalian monoclonal lymphocyte in charge of antibody production against a homogenate of a human pultaceous sclerogenous focus, fusing the animal antibody-forming lymphocyte with a myeloma cell, isolating a formed anti-human pultaceous antibody-forming fused cell group and is collected from a fused cell selected as one to be specifically reacted with an oxidized human lipoprotein from the cell group.
