PURPOSE:To prevent a pinion from tumbling and improve the easiness in the work of installing the device. CONSTITUTION:A differential device 7 includes a casing body 33 and a cover 31 and is equipped with a differential case 21 rotationally driven by the driving force of engine, a pinion 57 accommodated in a hole in the casing body 33 slidably and rotatably, a pair of wheel-side side gears 37, 39 coupled through the pinion, and a supporting member 67 which supports one end of the pinion and is supported at an opening provided in the casing body 33.
